Kidderminster

About 18 miles east of Tenbury lies the busy town of Kidderminster which used to be the carpet manufacturing capital of the World. Carpets are still made there but to a much lesser degree and many of the old carpet factories can still be seen with distinctive red brick, Victorian facades. Kidderminster also boasts two large shopping parks where you can park the car and buy almost anything.  Next door to Kidderminster railway station is the terminus for the Severn Valley Steam Railway where you can travel back in time and catch regular services via Bewdley and Highley to Bridgenorth
