Open Spaces

The beautiful Wyre Forest, is located 12 miles north east of Tenbury at Callow Hill, Bewdley. It stretches for 10 square miles and offers a wide range of recreational opportunities and a great day out. Don’t forget to call in at the Wyre Forest Visitor Centre, open throughout the year to provide home-cooked food and information (01299 266944).
Queenswood, on the A49 between Leominster and Hereford is another beautiful open space with walks, a visitor centre and cafe.
For the more adventurous there is Mortimer Forest  near  Ludlow with beautiful woodland walks and cycle tracks.
Maps and brochures on short and long distance walks in the area can be obtained in the Tourist Office or why not just purchase the local Ordnance Survey map and follow the footpaths. It is guaranteed you will not be disappointed with the beautiful countryside.
