Witley Court

12 miles east from Tenbury is Witley Court, an early Jacobean manor house that is surrounded by magnificent landscaped gardens, devastated by a huge fire in the 1930s. Dating back to the 11th Century, adjacent to Witley Court, see the magnificent baroque Witley Church which has wonderful ceiling designs. The church is probably one of the finest examples of this style in the UK. There is also a visitor centre, tearoom and extensive gardens with magnificent fountains re-opened in 2009 by Prince Charles. Witley Court is maintained by English Heritage
